RMU Investigating Mike Rice’s Tenure As Coach

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Rutgers University basketball coach Mike Rice’s firing made national headlines after a video showed him physically and verbally assaulting his players.

Now, Robert Morris University is doing its own investigation into what Rice was like when he coached there.

Over the last week, Rice, his top assistant and the athletic director were all removed from their jobs at Rutgers University.

This all came after a video was released showed Rice shoving and throwing basketballs at some players.

Rutgers assistant Eric Murdoch, who produced the video, claimed that while at RMU, Rice and his coaches got into five coach-player brawls.

Robert Morris denies that.

The FBI is reportedly investigating whether Murdoch tried to extort Rutgers before making the videos.
