Celebrate 1960s At Heinz History Center Fashion Show

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Season 6 of Mad Men started Sunday, rejuvenating the public's growing popularity of everything 1960s.

And Pittsburgh is no exception. To continue celebrating '60s style, the Heinz History Center is hosting a '60s Fashion Show and mixer this coming Friday and Saturday.

The events are part of the center's ongoing exhibition 1968: The Year That Rocked America, which was a formative year for Black Power, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin, in addition to being the year of Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassinations.

The weekend festivities will feature a fashion show, showcasing vintage and vintage-inspired fashions from local companies ModCloth, Hey Betty, Highway Robbery, Haute Vibe, TranquiliT Reclaimed Vintage and Lana Neumeyer.

A vintage mixer will also take place Saturday, which will feature actress Barbara Feldon from the show "Get Smart" and will have vintage items from about two dozen local vendors.

More information and tickets are available at the Heinz History Center website:
