Body Found In Coraopolis

CORAOPOLIS (KDKA) -- Authorities continue their investigation following the discovery of a man's body in a creek in Coraopolis.

There's no word on the man's identity, but police say he was a white male in his 30s. He was found face down in McCabe Hollow Creek.

According to investigators, two teenage boys walking along Fifth Avenue on their way home from school discovered the body.

"Me and my friend, we were walking home from school and we just looked over the creek like we always do, and we just saw a dead body," said one of the boys. "We just saw he was wearing Sketchers, shorts, a hat, I think. He was a young adult."

Police do not yet know the exact circumstance, but they say they believe the man flipped over backward or fell face forward over the wall on Fifth Avenue and landed face down.

The investigation continues.
