CORAOPOLIS (KDKA) — Investigators have identified a man who was found dead Friday afternoon in a creek in Coraopolis.
Two teenage boys discovered the man’s body in McCabe Hollow Creek along Fifth Avenue while walking home from school.
According to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office, the man is 35-year-old Christopher Cumpton. He died of blunt force trauma.
His death has been ruled an accident.
Police say they believe Cumpton flipped backward or fell face first over a wall and landed face down in the creek.
