PITTSBURGH (93.7 THE FAN)–There are two members of the “Young Money Family” that will be sticking around for the 2013 season.
Antonio Brown is locked up for a long-term contract. Now, Emmanuel Sanders will remain with the team after the Steelers matched the Patriots’ offer sheet. To talk about the signing, and the state of the Steelers offseason, The Fan Morning Show welcomed Brown to their airwaves on Tuesday.
Antonio was happy to have one of his wide receiver brethren stick around with the black and gold.
“It was a great decision by the Steelers to keep [Sanders] around,” Brown said.
As for the other wide receivers, Antonio tells us that he thinks that Plaxico Burress, and Jerricho Cotchery still have a lot left in their tanks. As for depth at the receiver position, Brown thinks that the Steelers could possibly add to the depth chart during the upcoming draft.
Antonio wants to be a leader for the Steelers this fall. He twice mentioned that there was a lack of focus in the off-season.
“I think we had a lot of guys whose focus was in other places,” Brown said.
