Pittsburgh Penguins Game Against Boston Postponed

BOSTON (KDKA) - The Pittsburgh Penguins game scheduled for Friday night against the Boston Bruins has been postponed, according to the Boston Police Department.

The NHL says the game is now tentatively set to be played Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

The Penguins vs Buffalo Sabres game has been moved to Tuesday night.

The Pens say that all tickets for Saturday's postponed home game against the Sabres will be valid for the rescheduled game on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m

Morning skates for both of the teams were called off Friday morning after the city of Boston was put on lock down while authorities searched for one of the alleged Boston Marathon bombing suspects.

The bombings on Monday killed three people and wounded more than 180. Police identified two suspects. One was killed during a shootout with police and the other was being sought during a massive manhunt across the city and surrounding areas.

The Bruins also announced that the sale of playoff tickets, scheduled to start at 11 a.m. on Friday, has been postponed until 11 a.m. on Monday.
