PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A toddler was lifeflighted to the hospital after falling out of a window Tuesday evening.

It happened before 6 p.m. in the 300-block of Walnut Avenue in Greensburg.

A 2 or 3-year-old child fell out of a window, but it is unclear how far they fell. The child was airlifted to Children’s Hospital with facial injures.

Authorities say the child was conscious and alert when he or she fell onto an area of freshly sodded grass.

Police say the mother will be questioned, but is currently at the hospital with the child.
