PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Emergency responders were on the scene of a motorcycle accident near Schenley Park.

The accident happened before 6 p.m. at Schenley Park’s Anderson Playground near Panther Hollow Road.

Officials say a 52-year-old male on a motorcycle hit a tree and was fatally injured.

An EMT and doctor were also on the scene shortly after the crash.

KDKA talked to one man who witnessed the whole thing.

“I was on my way home from class and a man came up on his motorcycle, jumped the median, hit the grass bank and then hit a tree and came across the road and almost hit me,” said Zach Fogel.

Police say it appeared the man was speeding.
