Man Accused Of Kidnapping, Sexually Assaulting 6-Year-Old

HENRY CLAY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A man has been arrested after allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 6-year-old boy over the weekend.

According to police, a 6-year-old boy from Fayette County was found after going missing Saturday.

Police said the boy was at a house in Henry Clay Township playing video games with a teenage boy, when the two left the house and went into a nearby wooded area.

After that, the two boys were picked up by the homeowner, 45-year-old Bryan Lynch of Confluence, and taken to Suder's Soft Ice Cream in Confluence Borough. Lynch then took the boys to Unity Township and at one point left the 6-year-old and 17-year-old at a park while he went to get gasoline.

Eventually, Lynch picked the boys up again and dropped off the teen near Lynch Field. He allegedly took the 6-year-old to an Opco parking lot in Latrobe and sexually assaulted him in the back seat of his car.

Latrobe police later found the boy near Legion-Keener Park by himself. Meanwhile, Lynch returned to his home, where he was arrested.

Lynch confessed to taking the boy without permission and sexually assaulting him, according to police.

He was taken to the Uniontown Booking Center and is awaiting arraignment.

An investigation is pending.
