Man Arrested After Crashing Car Into Brookline Dealership

BROOKLINE (KDKA)- A man is in custody, after police say he drove drunk, and slammed a car into other cars at used car dealership in Brookline.

According to police, the crash happened just after midnight, along Route 51 near West Warrington Street.

Police said the car hit several used cars at the 51 Auto Mall. The suspect's car came to rest on top of another car at the dealership.

Police say 24-year-old Ryan Peterson fled the scene, but police found him hiding on a hillside behind the car dealership. Police say Peterson was under the influence of alcohol.

Police say he also has a suspended driving license, and had taken his grandmother's station wagon without her knowing.

Peterson has been charged with DUI, careless driving, and other charges.
