Car Fire Leads Police To Murder Investigation

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A Mercer County man was arrested after police discovered a partially burned car and body.

Police say they responded to the scene of a vehicle fire on Hollabough Road in French Creek Township and found the partially burned body of 58-year-old David Dignall.

However, after an autopsy, officials determined that Dignall died of a single gunshot wound.

Police investigated and found evidence that linked 45-year-old Ralph Young of Franklin to the scene.

Young was later arrested and taken to the Mercer County Jail.

A hearing is set for May 22 at 10:15 a.m.
