'Crankshaft' Gives Round 2 Preview

PITTSBURGH (93.7 THE FAN)--The Penguins are now in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and will face the Ottawa Senators. At Monday's practice, Jim Colony caught up with defenseman, Douglas Murray.

Douglas is new to the Eastern Conference and has not been involved in the same rivalries as the Penguins. He tells Jim that the teams may be different, but all rivalries feel the same.

"You just feel it on the ice," Murray said.

Murray was happy to see a fellow "defensive defenseman" in Brooks Oprik score the series-clinching goal against the Islanders. Murray, himself scored twice in the series, saying, "luckily both of us could contribute."

His job is to protect his own net, though.

"We need to be sharper than we were in the last series," Murray said. "But, we got better."
