Deer Crashes Through Bus Windshield, Driver Lets It Off

JOHNSTOWN (KDKA/AP) - A bus driver in Cambria County picked up an unexpected passenger Tuesday night when a deer decided to go for a little ride.

It was definitely a shock for both driver and deer alike.

The driver of the Cambria Transit bus was driving down a street in Johnstown when out of the blue a deer came out of nowhere and smashed directly into the front of the bus.

The fur was definitely flying as the deer crashed through the windshield, legs and hoofs flailing, right into the cab of the bus.

It even took out a "Go Pens" sign that was sitting in the bus window.

The poor thing tried three times to jump back out of the windshield before it turned and ran into the bus.

It vaulted on seats aiming for the windows, and ping-ponging from one side of the bus to the other.

Fortunately, there were no passengers in that part of the bus, but there was one lone woman in the very last row.

Finally, the bus driver opened the doors and the deer made its escape.

No injuries were reported and the bus was taken in for repairs.

There is no word on what happened to the deer, but it appeared to run off just fine.
