Police Investigate Deadly Shooting In Knoxville

KNOXVILLE (KDKA)- Homicide detectives are looking into a deadly shooting in the Knoxville neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. at a home in the 100-block of Zara Street.

Police say 54-year-old Roger Griffin was found on the kitchen floor with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

Paramedics rushed the victim to UPMC Mercy. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police heard from witnesses that two young, black men ran from the scene of the shooting.

Police also interviewed at least one man on the scene and took a female away from the house.

The motive for the shooting is still unknown.

So far, no arrests have been made.
