Andrew Says: Singing Unfamiliar National Anthems Can Be Tough
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Earlier in the evening, Andrew and Sports Anchor Jon Phillips discussed the embarrassingly horrendous rendition of the United States National Anthem by a Canadian singer before the 2013 Memorial Cup hockey game this past weekend.
To prove how difficult it can be to perform a national anthem from a country you do not reside in, Andrew asks Jon to regale the listening audience with a stirring rendition of the Mexican National anthem.
For point of comparison, a version by a person familiar with the tune is also presented. Andrew apologizes to any Mexicans in the audience for the "likely screw-ups" while Jon hopes to get free Mexican food out of the deal.
