Steve Blass, "I've Lived Kinky"

PITTSBURGH (93.7 THE FAN) - Pittsburgh Pirates Broadcaster, and former starting pitcher, Steve Blass has a new catch phrase. After a win over Detroit last week, Blass described the game as "kinky." To talk about it, and the Pirates in general, Blass joined the Fan Morning Show on Monday.

Blass brought back the popular call with Sunday's walk-off win, saying, "talk about kinky." Blass says that the initial call was just off the top of his head. But, for Sunday's win, there was no better way to describe how the bullpen performed.

For how well the bullpen performed, it was a result of Jeanmar Gomez leaving due to right forearm tightness. Steve talks about how Gomez has earned his spot on the roster, and hopes to see him pitch soon.

Charlie Morton seems to be the person who would replace Gomez, but Steve thinks that, when Gomez is ready, he will slide right back in. Morton has not earned the right to keep a starting spot.
