Man Arrested After Throwing Dentures, Watch At Police

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man angered by his blocked driveway was arrested after fighting police and throwing his dentures at them, officials say.

William Moody, 71, of North Strabane Township allegedly became angry when a car involved in a multi-vehicle accident and a passerby offering help pulled into his driveway in the 1200-block of Route 519 Friday afternoon.

Police say Moody was angry when the cars blocked in him and his wife for about 10 minutes.

When police arrived on scene, they say Moody became combative and fought with police until they handcuffed him.

Then, they say, Moody faked a heart attack and when police un-cuffed him, fought with the officers again.

However, because Moody has a pre-existing heart condition, he was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

Police then took Moody to the station where he continued to fight and even threw his dentures, chewing tobacco and wrist watch at officers.

He is charged on multiple counts, including resisting arrest, assault and making terroristic threats.

A hearing for Moody is set for Monday at 10 a.m.
