PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A rental van went off the road and smashed into a string of parked cars along Route 19 in Wexford Tuesday afternoon.

Witnesses said it sounded like an explosion when the Penske truck hopped the curb and went down the edge of the parking lot at the Pine Center shopping center.

It left seven vehicles damaged, some of them so badly they couldn’t be driven.

The rental van came to rest against a pole. The driver said he had been forced off the road by another vehicle.

No one was hurt.

Police say they are investigating, but no charges have been filed. Police also say it does not appear that the driver of the van was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The van driver works for a company that regularly leases a vehicle from Penske.
