Wandy Rodriguez Leaves Game With Arm Injury
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Pirates veteran lefthander Wandy Rodriguez was removed from Wednesday afternoon's game in the bottom of the first inning against the Atlanta Braves with left forearm tightness, according to the team.
After hitting Atlanta first baseman Freddie Freeman with a pitch, Rodriguez beckoned the team's athletic trainer to the playing field and was immediately removed. Rodriguez pointed with his with his glove (right) hand to his left elbow/forearm region.
Rodriguez, 34, acquired by the Pirates at last year's trade deadline, is 6-3 with a 3.57 earned run average.
