Family Growing Concerned For Man Who Disappeared On Way To Work

AVONMORE (KDKA) -- A local mother is growing more concerned following the disappearance of her son while on his way to work Thursday morning.

Authorities say he never showed up for work, and his car was later found on the Avonmore Bridge.

Search teams, dogs and boats spent most of Thursday looking for 28-year-old Albert Copper.

His mother can't explain his disappearance.

"All we know is we found his car and we didn't find him," said Linda Copper, Albert's mother. "His cell phone was in his car. We don't know where he's at."

There are no signs of foul play. His car was left behind.

They are also searching the Kiskiminetas River.

"You're hoping that he's not hurt somewhere," said Albert's mom. "We don't know why we can't find him."

Copper was last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray t-shirt and cap.

The search has ended for the night, but will resume at 7 a.m.
