Man Injured In North Side Shooting

NORTH SIDE (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a man was injured in a North Side shooting early Tuesday morning.

According to police, the shooting happened around 12:50 a.m. in the 100-block of Rhine Place in the Spring Hill neighborhood.

A 21-year-old man, from the North Side, was shot and underwent surgery at Allegheny General Hospital.

He suffered gunshot wounds to the neck, mid-section and arm.

Police initially feared that victim may have been paralyzed as a result of the shooting, but that has since been ruled out.

It is believed that an argument outside of an apartment building escalated into gunfire.

Witnesses told police they heard arguing. Police believe a small group of people were involved in the fight, and then the gunshots followed.
