Dating Advice From The Modern Matchmaker

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - Are you looking for love in all the wrong places?

Despite all the online dating services and more people in the dating pool, some people just can't find love. How do you find true love in a digital age?

Susan Dunhoff, the Modern Matchmaker, says that while online profiles can help you find love, it takes a more personal connection to really find your perfect mate.

"Millions of people do online dating," says Dunhoff. "The problem is, it's like a needle in a haystack to find someone who is really right and really ethical."

KDKA-AM's Larry Richert talks to Dunhoff about dating and technology, and what it means to be a real matchmaker in 2013. She has some great tips if you do go the online dating route.

"If you're going to do online dating, you should do a background check first," says Dunhoff. "They're complete strangers. Most people put up pictures from 20 years ago, or are married. For $30 bucks a month, what can you lose? How many people can you meet in a month?"

What's different about Dunhoff's dating method is that they really get to know their clients well and take everything in their lives into consideration. They use profiles, photos, background checks, and other personal info, and then let you choose who you want to date as opposed to be setting up on a blind date.

"We save our clients a lot of time, emotional energy, and quite frankly money."
