BRADY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A mother of four, one of her children and the boy’s father were all killed in a crash in Butler County Wednesday night.

Today, the woman’s family is heartbroken as two other children remain in the hospital. One of them is in critical condition.

One-year-old Emily McLaughlin is fighting for her life at Children’s Hospital. She and her 11-year-old sister are the only survivors of the horrific crash.

Terry Cramer III, 3, died as a result of the tragic accident in Brady Township.

“We lost the one grandson, and Emily. We’re just praying and see what happens,” George McLaughlin said.

Emily suffered swelling of her brain and remains in a coma.

“When you see them, it’s just hard to believe being strapped in the car seat like they were that this tragedy happened,” George McLaughlin said. “Emily, we’re just praying.”

Kim McLaughlin was driving the minivan last night, with her boyfriend, Terry, in the front passenger seat.

State police believe she fell asleep, left the road and hit a tree.

“She did everything for her kids,” George McLaughlin said. “She was always there for them.”

The 11-year-old survivor, Stephanie, remains at Children’s Hospital.

Family members said she suffered a fractured skull and needed over a dozen staples in her head, but she’s making good progress and is alert.
