Kichler Lighting Recalls Chandelier Over Injury Concerns

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A chandelier sold exclusively at Lowe's is being recalled.

Kichler Lighting is recalling the Aztec nine-light fixture, which is sold under the Portfolio brand name.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission's website, "The chandeliers are metal with an olde bronze finish and measure about 31-inches wide and 31-inches high. They come with etched amber glass shades and a decorative faux marble ball in the center."

They were sold from July 2006 through August 2011 for roughly $240.

The company said the loop connecting the hanging chain to the lamp can fail and cause the chandelier to fall.

At least six such incidents have already been reported totaling about $6,000 in damage.
