Body Found In Fayette Co.
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- State police are investigating after a woman's body was found Saturday morning in the Youghiogheny River in Fayette County.
It happened just before 10 a.m. in Adelaide near the North Fayette County Municipal Authority Sewage Plant.
Boy Scouts kayaking in the river near Connellsville reportedly made the discovery.
Firefighters from Connellsville were called to the scene.
"The victim was halfway out across the river here," said Jeremy Dull, a volunteer firefighter. "We got the patient or the victim out of the water and let the crime scene and all that take place."
There's no word yet on how the woman died, but the investigation continues.
