Electric Company Worker Killed In Armstrong Co.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A Clarion County man was killed overnight while repairing a power line.

Officials say 52-year-old Michael Eugene Over of Over Road in New Bethlehem was pronounced dead just before 4 a.m.

Over was a longtime employee of Central Electric Company of Parker and was called out to fix a power line, which had been knocked over by a tree at 304 Mudd Lane in Perry Township.

Reportedly, Over was killed by the live power line, which he thought was turned off.

An autopsy showed that Over was electrocuted, according to the Armstrong County Deputy Coroner. His death has been ruled an accident.
