Red-Hot Pirates Bringing Optimistic Fans To The North Shore
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- There was a sell-out Friday night at PNC Park as the Bucs returned home after a successful road trip.
Nearly 37,000 people jammed the ballpark.
Fans that KDKA talked to seemed to agree on at least one thing - this year, this team is the "real deal."
Craig Austin, of Bridgeville, said, "I think if the pitching holds up, the Bucs could go all the way, as long as the team gets past the post-All Star break curse."
Jeff Wallace came to PNC Park from Fayette County on board a bus with 50 other fans.
Wallace said a few years ago, the bus would never be filled up like it was this night.
