Pirates' Broadcasters Weigh In On Top Seeded Buccos
PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - The Pirates are 20 games over .500 and off to their best season since 1979.
Pirates' Broadcaster Bob Walk joined Bill Rehkopf on the Afternoon News to talk about the Bucco's success so far this season.
"A lot of good baseball that the fans in Pittsburgh have been waiting for a long time for and they deserve it." Walk said while talking about crowd turn out and response the team has been seeing from fan turnout.
Yesterday's win in the 14th inning was the Pirates 9th win in a row.
The team currently has the best record in all of the major leagues.
While Walk says he cannot pin point one thing that is the reason for the teams streak, he does see this team going far, "Why not think World Series with this team right now."
