WASHINGTON COUNTY (KDKA) – Dive teams removed the body of an elderly man, who fell into a resorvoir while riding his Bobcat skid-loader.

The accident happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday along State Route 136 in Fallowfield Township.

According to police, Samuel Vignoli, 87, of New Eagle, was working on a Bobcat skid-loader, when it appears it slid down a steep embankment and into the pond.

Dive teams located the machine with Vignoli on top of it. However, it took until about midnight to finally pull the machine and Vignoli out of the pond.

Officials said he drowned, but an autopsy on Vignoli is pending.

Police have also ruled his death to be accidental.
