Tree Falls On Woman's Home In Ross Twp.

ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A woman in Ross Township had a close call during the storm that rolled through the area Wednesday evening.

She was in the living room of her Maple Street home when a massive tree came crashing through her roof and into her bedroom on the other end of the house.

Neighbors say she wasn't hurt, but she appeared to be shaken up by what happened.

Along McKnight Road, wind blew over the Cort Furniture sign, which landed on a parked SUV.

In West Deer, Anthony Laughlin and his mother Lorraine wonder whether they saw the early stages of a funnel cloud forming.

They say they saw from their back porch the clouds moving in circular motion.

Laughlin captured the dark, moving clouds with his cell phone camera.

No reports of any damage in that area.
