Fans Run Into Stranded Dave Matthews On Way To Concert

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Two Dave Matthews fans had a chance encounter over the weekend.

They found him stranded on the side of the road and stopped to help.

Emily Kraus and her boyfriend were on their way to see the Dave Matthews Band perform in Hershey Saturday, when they spotted the singer on the side of the road.

Turns out, he had been biking and his bicycle broke.

He didn't have a cell phone, so he was stuck.

Kraus and her boyfriend put Matthew's bike on the back of their car and then gave him a ride to the concert.

"We didn't know how to make conversation with him in fact, so we were talking about his tour and where he had come from," Kraus said. "He had just been in Cincinnati and he said 'I'm taking a short break after this one because I have to drop my daughters off at camp' and he was just a very humble guy."

Matthews was so grateful, he invited Kraus and her boyfriend to dinner and upgraded their tickets to the front row, as well as invited them backstage.
