Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Penn Hills
PENN HILLS (KDKA) -- A pedestrian accident left an elderly man dead and closed down part of a road in Penn Hills Thursday evening.
The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. in the 6500-block of Saltsburg Road, running along 3 Lakes Golf Course.
Officials say the elderly victim was walking along the roadway when he was struck by a car.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as 81-year-old Edward Joyce of Penn Hills.
Crews closed down part of Saltsburg Road after the crash.
Allegheny County Police and Penn Hills Police are both investigating the accident.
