STOWE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — Police are looking for two suspects after a violent home invasion this afternoon in Stowe Township.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. in the 100-block of Ohio Street in the Preston section of Stowe.

Police say two men broke into a townhouse through a back door and entered the kitchen where they shot a man twice in the leg, and then ran off.

Neighbors said the victim and his girlfriend, who was not hurt, had just moved into the house about a week ago.

“I heard like a popping, I didn’t know what that was, and then I heard them all screaming,” said Marion Beasock, a neighbor. “Then, I heard the one guy say he was shot, and then I couldn’t hear anything else anyways.”

The shooting victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital with non-life threatening wounds.
