Piles Of Trash Attracting Flies, Rats In Fayette Co. Neighborhood

BROWNSVILLE (KDKA) -- Neighbors on Pearl Street in Fayette County say they've made an unbearable discovery: piles and piles of garbage that are attracting flies and rats and creating a foul smell.

They say they found the trash in some woods right in the middle of their neighborhood.

The landlord of one nearby home believes his tenants may be responsible for the garbage and says he plans to evict them.

However, a woman who would not identify herself but says she lives in the home, denies that the tenants dumped the trash.

She says they've only been living there since May. She also says they plan to move out.

Neighbors just hope whoever is dumping the trash stops and that it gets cleaned up.

Attempts to reach the code enforcement officer in Brownsville Wednesday night were unsuccessful.
