PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- Steelers Center Maurkice Pouncey sat down with the Jim Colony this week for a very special edition of “In-Depth with Maurkice Pouncey.”

Gregg Giannotti also joined as a special guest co-host.

Pouncey assured Fan Morning Show listeners that he will be back for a third season of football and nonsense with our very own Jimbo. The guys do like to have fun but they also talk football each week.

This week the guys discuss the new blocking scheme being introduced and how quickly it was picked up by everyone. Pouncey also said that the young offensive line is getting better each day and really needs to step up this year to protect Ben Roethlisberger and improve on an 8-8 record — of which he isn’t proud.

“I have zero percent input,” Pouncey said when asked how much Todd Haley listens to his suggestions. “We just have to block and execute the plays that are called.”

That 8-8 record, in addition to missing the playoffs, doesn’t sit well with Pouncey. He says he’s mad and that anger will fuel him this season.

“When you are you, go out and really attack,” Pouncey said.

Pouncey said everyone feels more comfortable in the second year of the Todd Haley offense.

There will be more great in-depth moments coming up this football season on Friday mornings at 7:40 am on The Fan Morning Show on Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan.
