Esplen Incident Ends Peacefully After SWAT Called To House
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police were at a home in Esplen after receiving a call about a potential hostage situation.
The incident started around 10 p.m. at a home near the corner of Tabor and Caledonia Way, but ended peacefully just as SWAT was gearing up to respond.
Initial reports indicated that a person was barricaded in the house with a hostage. However, police now are calling it a domestic dispute.
The scene was eventually cleared about an hour later and no one was taken into custody.
No word on what prompted the domestic dispute.
