'Bucco Time Machine': What We Were Saying A Year Ago Today

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) -- With the Pirates racing toward their first winning season since 1992, The Fan Morning Show will look to put this season's magic in perspective with a new feature, the 'Bucco Time Machine."

Each day, the guys will take a look back at what they were saying at the same point in the season in 2011 or 2012, when the Pirates were heading in a very different direction, rapidly dropping out of the pennant race after a promising first four months of the season. Each clip will serve as a reminder of how Pittsburgh was feeling at the same point in the season during the two collapses, and in turn, will also demonstrate how much better the team is performing down the stretch in 2013.

The feature debuted this morning with a look back at Aug. 6, 2012, when the guys questioned whether or not Reds' closer Aroldis Chapman had been intentionally throwing at Pirates MVP-candidate Andrew McCutchen during the teams' series in Cincinnati. The Pirates lost 2 of 3 games, leaving them 4.5 games behind the Reds in the NL Central and only 2.5 games ahead of the Cardinals for the second Wild Card spot.

The first 'Bucco Time Machine,' the guys' reaction, and a preview of what's to come can be heard here:
