Search Resumes For Missing Ross Twp. Woman

ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - Nearly two years ago, a Ross Township mother vanished without a trace. Her two children came home from school and their mother was gone.

On Sunday, they renewed the search for Jamie Peterson. Family, friends, and cadaver dogs searched for any sign of Peterson.

A national forensics expert joined Peterson's father and numerous others to comb the woods.

This latest search came after a stranger had a premonition that she might know where Peterson is.

Sept. 26 marks two years since Peterson disappeared from her Ross Township home.

However, her father, Jim, won't give up.

He's determined to get answers about what happened to his 30-year old daughter.

Sunday's help came from Wendy Kessinger and her K-9 forensics dogs.

They spent time specifically close to the Aspen Trail off of Jacks Run Road in Brighton Heights after a stranger got in touch with Jim Peterson three days ago via cell phone.

"She says that she's had a dream and she met with her priest and she come up with an address and a location and we're just turning around and acting on it and we're checking the situation out," Jim Peterson said.

The findings from Sunday's hunt haven't been revealed yet.

Peterson said he'll push on regardless to give Jamie's two children some peace.
