Penguins 6.6K Run And Family Walk
Celebrate the start of the 2013-14 Pittsburgh Penguins season by participating in the inaugural Pittsburgh Penguins 6.6K Run & Family Walk on October 6, 2013. The unique 6.6K distance (4.1 miles) pays homage to Penguins great Mario Lemieux, and proceeds from the event will benefit two worthwhile Pittsburgh charities, the cancer research and patient care initiatives of the Mario Lemieux Foundation and the youth hockey initiatives of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation.
The 6.6K run will begin at 8:30 AM at CONSOL Energy Center, run through Pittsburgh streets and return to CONSOL Energy Center for the finish. A one-mile family walk will also be offered to individuals and groups of four at a discounted rate.
