Local Business Continues To Boom With Sold Out Game

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – PNC Park was packed again for another home game, which made local business owners very happy.

Game two against the Diamondbacks was a sellout Saturday afternoon, with the Goodyear blimp flying overhead.

And business owners were glad to have the boost from the Bucs.

"We're literally right across the stadium," said Eric Brown with the Renaissance Hotel. "I mean we're a two-second walk up from the front door to stadium. It's been great for us, we're getting fans staying at the hotel, the bar's been doing great before and after the games. It's definitely possibly impacted our business."

"I hope to make between 15 and 20 trips today, so I think I'm close to maybe 12 already so waiting for after the game next," said Scott Mandarino with Green Gears Pedicabs.

So far, the Pirates have well surpassed ticket sales from 2012 – which is well over $2 million and numbers are just expected to continue to get better.
