PITTSBURGH (KDKA 93-7 The Fan)- The Pitt football program is preparing for the start of their inaugural ACC season.

Pitt Athletic Director Steve Pederson told Bob Pompeani that he is excited to see the team hit the field.

“It’s going to be an exciting year and a great year at Heinz Field, and we’re excited to see our team play,” Pederson said. “I think we continue to make great progress and Coach Chryst has done a terrific job of putting us on course to where we want to go.”

There have been a number of transfers from the Pitt program. Pederson noted that there are a lot of transfers across the country, and said that there are various reasons for players transferring.

“Sometimes it comes down to fitting the system, sometimes it comes down to just kind of the way the coach operates,” Pederson said. “I think everybody can see Coach Chryst is a guy who there are no guys getting special treatment, there are no individuals. It’s a team game.”
