Todd Haley On 2012 Season: We Didn't Get The Job Done

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - It comes as no surprise that Steelers Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley says the teams effort in 2012 didn't get the job done, but with all the new players he has to work with, he thinks they'll be able to bounce back this year.

"There's no doubt that when we reviewed last season, we didn't get the job done," he said. "We've brought some new people into the mix. We've tweaked some schemes and things like that.  But we got to run the ball efficiently to be a good offense. We didn't do it enough last year."

Fans have been plenty critical of Haley's offense and not throwing the ball deep enough, and when asked about those complaints, Haley was shocked.

"People say that? I would say go back and look at places I've been," he said. "We've thrown the ball down the field a bunch. There's a go on almost every route we call. Last year we just had to make more of the plays when we did go down field."

Things wrapped up with Haley discussing the trust he and Ben Roethlisberger have in each other.
