Pederson: Chryst Making Moves That Build Long-Term Success

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) -- Pitt athletic director Steve Pederson joined Tab Douglas live at Pitt Football Fan Fest on Saturday, with the Panthers' season opener just eight days away.

Pederson discussed some of his favorite things about head coach Paul Chryst, and mentioned some of the things he's most excited for this season.

"Certainly we like him very much and have great respect for him as a football coach, you know, he's doing the kinds of things that make a long-term program successful," Pederson said. "And what we want is long-term success."

Pederson also mentioned Chryst's consistency as a reason for the team's success.

"I think when you do that, you play more consistently as well," he said.

Pitt will face Florida State in that game on Labor Day at 8 p.m.
