Some Charges Dropped Against Frick Park Ax-Wielding Man

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Several charges were dropped against man accused of threatening people with an ax in Frick Park.

The charges of aggravated assault and ethnic intimidation were dropped against 39-year-old Frederic Park Monday.

However, the charge of reckless endangerment will head to trial.

Park is also not allowed to go back to Frick Park.

One of his alleged victims was at today's hearing.

"I was walking through the park. He hit a water bottle that I was carrying with a hatchet that was wrapped in a plastic bag," they said.

The victim also said Park threw a garbage can at him before walking away and didn't say a word during the incident.

This victim said he would like to see Park get the help he needs.
