Dr. Frank Gets You Ready For Back To School Tech
PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - Buying back-to-school supplies can be intimidating, especially anything with a screen or plug. How do you navigate the sea of gadgets out there?
KDKA-AM's Larry and John talk to Dr. Frank Viggiano, the Gadget Guru, about some hot tech items for students and beyond, like a pen that you can use as a mouse, and a fan/heater that uses no blades and is safe for dorms.
One item Dr. Frank is really into is a portable Bluetooth speaker that weighs 1.5 pounds, but makes a sound that is 10 times its size - plus, the battery lasts for 10 hours.
"It's no more than a foot long and 3 and 1/2 inches high," says Dr. Frank. "The quality is there, Many of these I get look great, but when you put them to the test they don't stand up."
Another cool feature of the speaker is that it has a phone charger on the speaker, which can charge your player while using the speaker.
