PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – It’s game week for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Ed Bouchette from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette checks in with Vinnie & Cook on Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan.
Bouchette previews the season opener against the Tennessee Titans, and evaluates the Steelers’ status as the season begins.
Ed also goes back to the Steelers’ final roster cuts. While many were surprised to see RB Jonathan Dwyer not make the team, Bouchette was only surprised that Dwyer’s demise took this long.
“I was surprised they didn’t cut Dwyer in the spring when he showed up at 265 [pounds],” Bouchette says. “That lack of discipline just tested their patience to the point where it broke.”
Bouchette also tells what he makes of the tight end situation, the Steelers hitting the waiver wire, and reveals his initial prediction for the season ahead.
