Saxonburg Man Arrested After Marijuana Found Growing In Yard

SAXONBURG (KDKA) -- A tip led to an unusual drug bust by police in Butler County over the weekend.

Police say Frank Christy was arrested Saturday and is now facing drug charges after marijuana was found growing in two large flower pots right there in his yard next to the garage on High Street in Saxonburg.

According to investigators, officers made the discovery after getting a tip from the son of one of Christy's neighbors.

When officers asked him about what was in his yard, the criminal complaint reports Christy told them, "Yep, it is what you think it is."

Police say they also asked if it belonged to him and Christy said, "Yes."

Police say they also found more marijuana, some drug paraphernalia and a gun inside the home.

Christy was then taken into custody.
