Homer City Woman Killed In Indiana Co. Bus Crash

INDIANA (KDKA) – State police are investigating a crash that killed an elderly woman in Indiana County.

The accident happened just before 10 a.m. at the intersection of Ben Franklin Road and Shelly Drive in White Township.

Police say a Senior Life bus carrying three elderly women ran a red light and slammed into a Lexus driven by an elderly man.

The 20-year-old driver of the bus was not injured.

Sandra Livingston, 70, of Homer City, was ejected from the bus. She was flown to Allegheny General Hospital where she died.

The two other passengers, as well as the driver of the car were also rushed to local hospitals.

Their conditions are not known.

A state police accident reconstruction team spent the day at the scene.

Charges are pending.

No comment from the driver or a Senior Life spokesperson at the scene.

The bus left from a center in Ebensburg. It's not clear where the bus was going.
