Man Leads Police On Chase Through Giant Eagle
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man caused quite a scene at a local grocery store Thursday when officers tried to serve a bench warrant.
Police say Washington County Sheriff's deputies tried to serve the warrant on Christian Hollenbeck at the Bentleyville Giant Eagle where he works.
When they asked Hollenbeck to step outside, he said he had to grab his phone.
However, he then ran, leading police on a chase through the store and eventually into a freezer in the back of the store.
Police say when he wouldn't come out, officer wrestled him out – during which on officer was injured.
He was taken to the Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.
