Heinz Red Zone: Blue Cheese Burger Totchos

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Get football tailgating season started off right with this delicious recipe from Rania Harris!

This week on the Steelers Huddle, Rania is making Blue Cheese Burger Totchos in the Heinz Red Zone!

STEELERS HUDDLE “Heinz Red Zone Recipe”: Blue Cheese Burger Totchos

  • 1 package (32 ounces) Ore-Ida Tater Tots, or 8 cups
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • ½ cup Heinz® Tomato Ketchup
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup blue cheese salad dressing
  • ½ cup cooked bacon crumbles
  • Crumbled blue cheese
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons minced red onion
  • Chopped fresh chives for garnish, optional

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Bake potatoes according to package instructions.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet coated with nonstick cooking spray over medium heat, cook ground beef for 7 to 8 minutes, or until cooked through, stirring frequently to form small crumbles. Remove from heat, and stir in ketchup and salt.

Arrange Tater Tots on serving platter. Drizzle with blue cheese dressing and spoon beef mixture on top. Sprinkle bacon, crumbled blue cheese and onion over top. Garnish with chopped fresh chives if desired.
